Just read article on him leaving in the Springfield MO paper. In the comments sections the fans were very high on him. Don't blame him for leaving but really hate to see him go. Seems like a classy guy and coach.

Solid hire given the circumstances seems to be the theme of most reasonable comentators.

I agree. Good read and great clip. He's intense and very sincere. Not one of my top choices, but he definitely has some big positives (tough attitude, NBA experience, great relationship with the players). Probably the best coach we could realistically get under the circumstances. You can't tell character or attitude from a resume.

I'm all in on Coach Martin, but the above point should be table stakes. If the former team is not upset about losing a coach, it's likely a good sign his next team shouldn't be that upset to get him.
