Will a MOD please move this to the "Around the NCAA" section if you think it needs to be moved? Sorry, I didn't realize I was in the Vols Basketball section when I posted it.

I agree with the top 4. Vandy at five is funny.

I think this is too high as well, but not funny. Vandy has everyone returning in a weak SEC, who is gonna beat them in the SEC. Kentucky is by far the best team next year but I could see a hot shooting Vandy team giving them all they want, especially early. Mature team and good freshman coming in. They will still choke in the tourney though, lol.

These polls are fun to look at but in reality won't be even remotely close at the end of the 2012 NCAA Tourney. Pretty sure UConn and Butler were not in the preseason top 5 last year at this time.

I actually think UNC will be better than UK but that could change alot by October.

If Vandy can play to or above expectations, they could be the first #1 seed to lose to a #16!

Yeah you are going to get different rankings from different people right now. Dick Vitale hasn't went as far as listing a top 25 but he did list his top 6. His were:

1) North Carolina
2) Kentucky
3) Texas
4) Ohio State
5) Duke
6) Louisville.

At least I picked up a secondary team to cheer for in a year that they're going to be good.

This is a national poll, not a SEC poll. If Vandy is made of the right mettle they will have to show it against their non-conference opponents. They invariably wilt in the NCAA Tournament with more regularity than any team in the SEC that usually gets there.

Whats going on here? You mean Tennessee is not listed after bringing in this fantastic new coach. What an insult. BBBC

The same Tennessee that was so highly ranked under the fantastic old coach? Oh. That's what I thought.

It's too early to tell before we hit the draft submission day.
