I read Cedric Wilson now has three rings. One for High School, College, and The NFL. Talk about lucky, or that good?

Mostly lucky but some good. He was one of the middle-choice guys at Pittsburgh. But hey, what's good :peace2:

He will get a chance to earn a paycheck now that Randle El is gone.

Maybe, I don't think we was any less talented as a WR than Randle El, just that Randle El provided a great opportunity for the trick play that Pittsburgh loved to run. I see Pittsburgh making a move to pick up another big name wide receiver. Wilson is good but he's just not the big threat game in and game out, like Randle El and Ward.

i dont see the steelers gettin another wr, they drafted a couple wr, including Santonio Holmes and they still got Quincey Morgan who is pretty solid. I look for Cedrick to get a lot of play this year at the number 2 spot.

the fact that the Steelers got Holmes on a 1st round pick and p/u another receiver in the draft should tell everyone that the Steelers think they need more answers at WR, than just Morgan, Ward and Wilson.

I think if anything, this is Wilson's make or break year with the Steelers. He's likely to get a lot more playing time this year. but right now, i think he's looked on more as another possesion type receiver. I don't think anyone thinks he has the size or speed to be a burner, but he does run good routes and at times has good hands. He had a great run in the playoffs, and will likely get more chances this upcoming season. But they are really high on Holmes....as the guy that can get separation and beat a defense.

Wilson does present some of the same attributes as Randel El, as he was a qb out of HS, and was used some at UT as a versatile guy. From that standpoint, they may in fact be looking at him to carry on in that same mold as Randel El.

Wasn't he like the #4 on the Steelers last year?

Ced was 4th on the team in receptions but avergaed 17.3 yards per catch. He was a big play guy on third down and wasa valuable assest to the team. Both Heath Wilson and Randle El only had 9 more catches than Wilson with 35 each.

Stepped up big in the playoffs which makes Randle El leaving a bit easier to deal with. Against Cincy he 3-104-1 Against Denver had 5-94-1.
