Celebrate your mothers, obviously. Tomorrow is Mother's Day. Celebrate the women who raised you. Celebrate the fathers who held dad AND mom duty for you. Celebrate the big sisters, big brothers, aunts or uncles, the Grandparents who did things for you and became the people you counted on. Families are so different. Being a "mother" figure can be so different to so many of us. Just celebrate.

And celebrate being a Tennessee fan. We're all so different.

The old timers who've seen it all. The ones who hate the current music, hate the brash stuff the kids do nowadays, and want to see the things from the past that made them so happy as Vols fans. They've paid more dues than any of us.

The middle ones. Familiar with the ways of the past, but intrigued by things of the future. They remember, and they cherish the past. But they have also seen change, and know the future always holds hope.

The new guys. They are a generation all their own. They only see forward progress. Some of them show great respect for the past, but realize it is just that-the past. Some of them think none of the past matters, because only the future holds the answers.

Regardless of where you are, celebrate. Celebrate everything you have the opportunity to, always. You never know when it's gonna end.

And celebrate those who are different than you. Be respectful of the differences. Because if everyone were the same, none of us would be special.

Happy Mother's Day Volnation.

And GO VOLS!

Great post VollyGirl. My wife was a good mother to our sons and is now a good grandmother to our two granddaughters.
