I know this is a bit premature, but I wanted to get some details before it was too late. I think if/when we win this game we should give these boys a turn out like they would never believe. How crazy if they get home and there are thousands of people waiting on them to celebrate with them. This team and these boys deserve that no doubt.

With that being said, where do they arrive at, and five or take a time? I was assuming 10-10:30 but wasn’t quite sure. Figured maybe somebody with a little more experience in doing this would have some better info. Thanks and Go Damn Vols!

Plaster that video all over Sports TV & YouTube and seal the deal with many top recruits!

Does the OP not recall how this idea worked out in 2001 when the team won at Florida and had a impromptu celebration at Tom Black Track? We need to delay any and all celebratory get togethers once the season has concluded and we have a reason to celebrate.

No op doesn’t, op was 9. Thanks for the concern. But, solidifying a spot in Atlanta after all everybody in this fanbase and team has been through over the years, so that is a reason to celebrate. I didn’t say there wouldn’t be other reason later in the year. But they would deserve it

Can we NOT have a parade like happened in 01' after the big win over UF? On 2nd thought, lets not do anything organized. How about acting like we've been there before and keep our SECC goal in front of us?

After Georgia, there is still 3 games to be played with two on the road. There are no gimme's in the SEC and while we can celebrate our weekly victories, even light up a cigar for those special victories, a coordinated Pep Rally celebration needs to be held at a time and place appropriate to what level of accomplishment this team achieves. I agree this is a great season to celebrate and honor this team but I am certain they would be the first to tell you that there is still work to be done now to December.

And you’re 100% right I sure hope the players and coaches feel that way, and I have no doubt they do or they wouldn’t be in this situation. Also, vandy is a home game

While I agree we should wait til we win a championship, some are hard on OP. Keep in mind that many Vol fans have not seen a relevant 🏈 team in their lifetime. But again, I agree yet understand the excitement.
The problem I have Is people do this every single road game. I’m simply just asking if we could make it a lot larger for this team for such a good win that’s it

I thought of that immediately as well. I think it was everyone who brought roses that made it really bad. A picture of Casey Clausen with a rose in his mouth I am sure was posted in the LSU locker room that week.

No. The other posters are right. Exactly like 2001 after Florida. Irrational exuberance. Everyone will be plenty excited if Tennessee upsets Georgia, but impromptu over-organized celebrations are NOT how to deal with that excitement. Beating Georgia on the road is great but that is NOT the goal.

This team got to be surrounded by fans who stormed the field after Alabama. They know all of Tennessee is behind them and their goal - which is Atlanta. Hooker said that himself in the Alabama post-game press conference. The goal is to get to the SEC Championship - and win it. That's the goal. Focus on the goal. Achieve the goal.

I always liked the expression - be happy but not satisfied. Obviously this team and fanbase was very happy after Bama but the team remained focus and played well the next two games. As long as the celebration is not the end point I think it’s fine. The problem with 2001 was that everyone penciled us into the National Title game before the SEC championship. I don’t see this team doing that.

Good point and not disagreeing. But I understand the younger generation being excited as they’ve never seen a relevant TN football team. In fact, most 21 yr olds and under place TN in the same class as Miss State, Ole Miss, KY, Purdue, and other average programs.

The great news is we are having a great year, ahead of schedule, and hopefully the best is yet to come. I don’t know the outcome of this season, but I am over BVS and think the program will be relevant for yrs to come.

TN finally has a President, chancellor, AD, and head coach to compete with the big boys. We’ve always had the facilities and the fan base.
