247 CFB's top recruiting staffs in the country

Recruiting classes aren't always the sum of their coaches. Sometimes a brand name recruits itself. Sometimes a head coach makes a staff. Sometimes a talented staff can make a program recruit above itself.

Judging strictly by the recruiting prowess of assistant coaches, here are the 10 best collections of recruiters in the country.

1. Alabama
2. South Carolina
3. Ole Miss
4. Clemson
5. Ohio State
6. UCLA
7. LSU
8. Baylor
9. Florida State
10. Michigan State
11. Arizona

The reasoning for South Carolina being #2 only makes it worse...Muschamp hired the best recruiter at Alabama did he? So, I guess Saban is an assistant at SC now? Good lord.

Some head scratchers. Makes you wonder what Simmons was doing / thinking at the time

Makes one curious as to how Simmons defines his qualifier

As for Tennessee's absence apparently in his mind the addition of Scott and Shoop aren't enough to offset the loss of Elder and Bajakian

Interesting to see the fruits of this lists efforts in '17

Pure click bait. I mean, it's not like Scott didn't help flip the Byrd from the U or anything.

And any list that puts UCLA over USCw is just idiotic.

Oh, no doubt click bait. Perused 247Sports CFB AC's Recruiter Rankings for a bit of comparison and perspective

Honesty, in a head-to-head I like UCLA’s to 'SC’s asst coaches. Though Helton kept Tee when he cleaned house he added quite a few unproven while UCLA’s Klemm and Martin are two of the best and Tuiasosopo was Scout.com 2015 Pac 12 ROY
Now, as far as who remains the recruit’s home town favorite? Still USC has the edge but UCLA’s gaining landing or flipping a couple of local blue chippers the past two years
