CFN: Alabama vs Tennessee Prediction, Game Preview

Also predicted this so maybe don't panic

What’s Going To Happen
The LSU defense is the best Tennessee has had to face so far, and it’s going to show.

Hooker and the Vol offense will get things rolling to make this a back-and-forth fight, but Daniels and the LSU attack will keep up.

There haven’t been too many deep shots from Daniels so far – that’s about to change.

The Tiger offense will run well enough to take some of the pressure off, and the defense will come up with the one second half stop the Vols won’t.

Tennessee vs LSU Prediction, Line
LSU 34, Tennessee 30

Alabama hasn't faced the #1 offense to garner the high defensive ranking. The same was said about Tennessee not facing good defenses, so turn about is fair play.

And don't blow off Texas A&M there is a ton of talent there. Just look at their offensive and defensive stats. They rank in the triple digits in every category.

This dude sounds like a homer.

I'm not sure the writer's claim that because teams are throwing on us pads our running defense stats. The Yards Per Carry stat is just an average of how far a team runs on each play they decide to run, regardless of how many or few times they actually run the ball. Sure it keeps the rushing yards down, but in my opinion, that's because our YPC are so low and teams just end up choosing to not challenge it as much because they know they can likely get chunk plays through the air. Deep down, they'd love to slow down the game, but when it comes to it, especially after we get a couple run stops, it just becomes obvious to them that their biggest chance to keep up with us is to challenge our DBs' soft coverage. It makes me wonder if Garner and Banks have committed to clog everything up running-wise in the belief that our offense will make more big plays than our opponents' offense. Well, I'm sure they'd like to stop both...

So getting a team out of their comfort zone, and force them to throw more to keep up with Tennessee”s scoring isn’t a good strategy.
These talking heads to think their comment through before blabbering.

"This is the moment the Tennessee program has been waiting so long for. It has the team, the talent, the upside, and the ability to win a monster game like this because it might be just that good. It has the scheme, the coaching, and the talent to come out firing and …

Welcome to the University of Alabama football program."

Ah, just the perfect level of condescending dismissal. Blah blah blah blah blah "BUT ALABAMA," done! End of analysis. Super. How wonderful, how insightful.

there is a reason we call them talking heads

Just like Maxx Headroom in the 80's they have no freaking idea what they are talking about. These are 18-22 year old (for the most part) and there is no telling what they will do and how they will react. #33 for our team is just as likely to get a personal foul call as he is to sack the QB.

Interesting - confidence level 2 out 5. So the not confident level out weighs the confidence level in this pick.
