Chad Knaus had been punished 5 times in 6 years for illegal modifications, Im not just being a Hendrick hater here, but I think its time Nascar stiffens the penalty against him.....

I see a lot of double standards going on and I don't mean just on this board, but everywhere. When Dale Jr's team got in trouble, it was called cheating, but when Jimmie and Jeffy's team got caught, it has been called getting around the rules.

As far as Chad Knaus goes, I don't like the guy. He is very good at being sneaky and trying to get by with stuff, I will give him that. He is a repeat offender and I think he should have gotten a harsher penalty than he did.

This is at least the 15th time Knaus has been penalized for something during his crew chief career, and this was his fourth suspension since 2001. He sat out four races last season when NASCAR found illegal modifications following Johnson's qualifying run for the Daytona 500

Hellooo, isn't that a part of the crew chief's job, to try to find a way around the rules and make your car better than everyone else's??? I sure thought it was, maybe it's not though. Every crew chief in the business, who has the resources there, is out there trying stuff they're not supposed to in attempt to find something NASCAR doesn't know about and make their car faster. That's a part of the sport, always has been, always will be, I don't care what car they're driving.

Let's all just imagine for a moment all the stuff he's done to the car that hasn't been caught. All of them, for that matter.

You took what I said and put your own spin on it, but that's ok. I don't deny that pretty much every crew chief does that.

Knaus is good at TRYING to get by with stuff, but he hasn't been that good about not getting caught now has he? :eek:lol:

It's about time for Nascar to hire Knaus away from Hendrick to be one of their top inspectors. At least that's what they usually do with serial cheaters.

I saw this today and thought it was funny.

IF YOU AIN'T CHEATING, YOU AIN'T TRYING. IF YOU GET CAUGHT CHEATING, YOU AIN'T TRYING HARD ENOUGH!
