No words. He had stage 3 colon in since 2016; kept it quiet for 4 years as it progressed to stage 4.

Terribly saddening.

This is so sad and stunning. He fought this fight quietly while his fans did not know. I'm sadder for him as a man and person than for what I will miss on the big screen. RIP Black Panther! Wakanda forever!

Hard to believe he was battling it while filming BP. He looked like the picture of health. Makes me wonder if that is the reason BP 2 was not evening filming yet. I was shocked it wasn’t being rushed out after the success of the first one.

Truly sad news for his family, friends, and fans.

And scary this could happen to a seemingly healthy young man. Sad for his family. He will be missed.

Man this really sucks. I kind of pegged him for one of the great actors of the future. Like a Morgan Freeman type.

I had some blood in my feces a few years ago. I got a check up just in case despite the fact I was 24. Can’t be too safe and this is why. RIP.

Poor guy. He had so many great things left to accomplish in life that he won't get to do now. Very sad.

My wife had the same thing. Same age...stage 3 colon cancer. She survived, but the road was horrible. Get yourself checked out, no matter what.

Chadwick Boseman played Black Panther. The first mainstream comic book character of African decent created by Jack Kirby.

He also played Jackie Robinson, the first AA player in MLB, in a critically acclaimed performance.

Yesterday was Jack Kirby’s birthday.

Yesterday was Jackie Robinson Day, the anniversary of the day he historically took the field for the first time.

Yesterday Boseman passed away from colon cancer.

43. Way way way too young. I believe standard medical testing for colon cancer starts around 50?

Wow, she’s a trooper. How’s that kid?

Great. Got another on the way.

She is a trooper. This isn't even all of it, but it's some weird **** that went on....she told us her worst fear was waking up during surgery. After her colon resection, she told us she woke up. We didn't believe her. We thought her mind/drugs were playing tricks on her. The next day her anesthesiologist walks in to discuss that she woke up. Boy, did I feel like a jackass.

Then her colon resection developed a leak (because she's thin, probably) which happens to like 2% of surgeries. It almost killed her. She had to have an emergency surgery. A 4-day stay at the hospital ended up being 15. Then 6 months of chemo. A total of 6 surgeries. A lifetime of invasive checkups. She's stuck in her job (that she mistly likes) because the health and life insurance is awesome. The years before that job were brutal. We couldn't afford to save anything. I'm not even gonna say what the worst part was. I'll spare you. Mother **** cancer

People meet her and have no idea. You wouldn't know unless you see her stomach scars. We rarely think about it. It doesn't seem real. I think it's 10 years this fall.

I'm shocked he was able to keep it a secret, in this age of instant info, social media, and TMZ.

Also crazy how he was going out and talking to kids with cancer, all while secretly battling it himself.

I didnt see it but Ive heard he was getting a good bit of body shaming on Twitter the last year or so for looking skinny. Bet there is a lot of regrets for those tweets.
