Well a big difference is who was on that coaching staff she had compared to who is on the coaching staff now....Al Brown and Mickie DeMoss....That team with 10 losses was just a different breed than the team that is struggling now

The purpose of the article was to say that ppl are not real fans.. Because if we make the final four ppl will have nothing to say the point she is making is to rally around our team not put them down that read this stuff as well

Last night I was watching TV with a friend who is a casual fan. She's a supporter, but not really up on the details of the LV problems. We watched an interview with CHW, at which point she turned to me and said, "Oh my God".

The belief that coaching staff and this one are equal is hard to think about and consider. Even when the team played bad a few games back then you had confidence that they could get it all straightened out. I don't have the confidence that this coaching staff can and if they do will gladly admit I was wrong about them.

That team lost Kelly Jolly until the tournament...>THAT is why their record was sub par by LV standards. This team has no such excuse.

One player should not determine that these players are trying to figure how to play with each other and you can clearly tell there is no leadership and that is the. Biggest problem

Excellent point. But we have no leaders. That team was loaded with passion and fire. I can only hope a fire starts with this team. GLV!!!

This would have been the opportunity to do it, but no support of the coach. "I support Coach Warlick." No, it is not even implied. In fact every coach is mentioned except Warlick. This was all about supporting the players. I agree with her. The players I support. It is the head coach that I doubt.

Yep, I noticed that too. Very telling that Warlick wasn't named at all.

You can't fault players for defending their old coaches who they have relationships with. We aren't negative on the team. At least I try not to be. I'm negative on Holly. I think the girls deserve better. I think the program and school deserve a better coach. I mean for 30 years we had the best. Don't we deserve something close to the best? Or when did the team stop deserving that?

There's No "I" in Lady Volunteers - Chamique Holdsclaw[/QUOTE
I agree with everything Chamique wrote. I never heard Pat ever complaining that the players were not following her plan, or complaining about the shots players took and I never heard her say I don't know what to do. She did her best to correct adverse issues. It has been 4 years since Pat turned over the reins and things are not getting better but worse. How many fans thought the day would come that we were unable to interest a single recruit?

The new Lady Vols are very difficult to watch. Does that mean those of us who are disappointed have turned our backs on the team? No it does not. It is very hard to look at a Lady Vol game today and be encouraged that things are going to get better under Holly. If you really love the Lady Vols how can you say that the coaching is great and the recruitment is top notch? This program is at the crossroad of being a second rate program and there is no excuse for that sort of future.

Well Chamique,

There's a few key differences. You identify your poor season as a rebuilding year. This was not a rebuilding year for TN. This is the most talented TN team we've likely had since our 2008 Championship team.

It's not a process of finding your groove. If so, why do none of the other top teams have the same issue? If you step aside from the TN Lady Vol name and look objectively at the facts, one will see a steady decline under Warlick. It's plain and simple.

If Holly and the Lady Vols pull off a miracle and win a NC this year, there is still no excuse for lack of recruiting a post player or failure to recruit a single body for 2016. There is no excuse for the way we are playing now. If Holly gets a clue and turns this program around, I would be proud of her. Right NOW what is going on is a ton of frustration for many LV fans because of the talent on this team and the way that talent is playing.

No One is saying that its not frustrating , But the point of the article is saying don't bad mouth the players or coaches I totally agree they should be doing much better.

If it's the current team that is throwing people under the bus, they'll miss.

What if CHW pulls a Cuonzo final season, scratches into the NCAA and then gets them.on a roll? That's @ the only hope left.

That men's team was stocked and it didn't click until 1/2 way through the play-in game. Then they played up to expectations and were one play away from an Elite 8. Favorable NCAA schedule, bit still.

Maybe CHW & co are just lost right now and it takes longer than expected to gel.

The biggest difference between then and now, is when Pat told her team "let's just keep getting better," she actually could get the players to play better or figure out a way to coach them better. When Holly says, "let's just keep getting better," she has no clue as to how to make them better. If she could, she would've done it well before 20 games into the season.

So what you are saying is that we need to start a petition drive to fire Holly so the players will get pissed and motivated to win? Brilliant! Let's do it!

Bring back Bruce!

Next week will be the first week EVER that the Lady Vols have been out of the Top 25. That's not being a fair weather fan, that's being a concerned fan. If she can't win with 7 McDonald's All-Americans, she'll never win. The coaching is horrendous.
