If we can sweep all our East opponents, and at least split the series with Florida, maybe. But remember, we also have to play LSU and Alabama.

Of course there is a possibility, but I don't think it is a good one. It will all depend on how the freshman are playing by the start of SEC play. They will get some good experience against the likes of Texas, Memphis, OK ST., and whomever we play in NYC for the Preseason NIT Semi-Finals and hopefully Finals.

Im not saying that the vols are going to repeat, im just saying no one expected us to win last year and we did. Why not this year?

I feel that if there was ever a year for a team to go undefeated since Indiana did it in the 70s that year is this year. And that team is, as much as I hate to say it, Florida. 3 of their starters would've gone first round last year including the #1 pick, Noah. They're all back. There's always a chance. I just think the odds are strongly against us.

Florida won't make it to Christmas undefeated.

After last year, I have all the faith in the world in Coach Pearl, but I don't see us repeating as SEC East Champs with this young team. By the time Christmas rolls arounds, we will have a better idea of what to expect in the SEC, though, because of the pre-SEC schedule, including Memphis, Oklahoma State, and Texas.

Dosen't matter if you do....pearl is an excellent coach...but how can a team(Florida) who won the national championship and then get all the starters back not be favored to repeat...yes it is very possible ut will win the SEC championship...but that is it

I don't know college hoops is a crazy crazy thing it's weirder than football ever thought of. I mean last year was supposed to be an off year for the SEC and Duke was favored for everything but what team and conference looked the best last year

Florida will win the SEC East. However, LSU will win the SEC. Glenn Davis is in shape!

Also, Florida was not the best team in the NCAA last year. They got hot at the right time and they played the following teams in the tournament:
South Alabama
Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Georgetown<--a tough game, but not exactly a great team in 2005
Villanova<--Ray was never the same player after he had his eye gouged out
George Mason
UCLA

Florida's most impressive win in their late season streak was beating LSU in the SEC Tourney.
