On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being no chance and ten being a lock, where would you rate UT's chances of landing Harris, Selby?

Since Harris is arlrady signed, then IMO we're at least 50% sure of that, and perhaps at this point 80 to 90% chance of that happening. All things being equal, I think Selby would come to Teneesee, I just don't know if all things are equal.

The knock on Selby is that he seems like one-and-done material no matter where he lands. Having said that, it'd still be great to see him in Tennessee orange next season to amp up the talent level and give the Vols a potent offense. Harris, however, seems like the kind of kid who would likely stick around for at least a couple of years in order to develop and perfect his skills, ala Wayne Chism. That's what I like about the majority of Pearl's recruits. Not only are they great athletes, they seem like they'd like to stick around long enough to earn their keep.

It sounds like the biggest obstacle in Selby landing back with UT is his mom! I don't get but it all started after the Lebron James Academy.

I recall Harris saying he planned to be here 2 years. Of course, if he's as great as advertised, and a lottery pick, who knows. On the other hand, Hopson was rated nearly as high as Harris, and I cannot see him being a high enough pick to even be a first rounder at this point, eventhough he's testing the waters.

Harris 150%
Selby 30%

JMO, dont believe any of the hoopla until he signs his LOI

Yup, after this past football recruiting season, I've learned that while it's fun to get all excited and get your hopes up half the time they get crushed...there's no such thing as a lock until they sign on the dotted line

Is that the same one and done we heard about Hopson?

i dont necessarily consider one and done to be a knock with selby. we have 2 more PGs coming in 2011 along with another one in this 2010 class.

Selby would be the first legitimate 1 and done prospect that CBP has signed, if we can pull him. Hopson was too inconsistent in HS to claim that. Harris could possibly fall into that group but I think he needs to stay 2 before jumping.

which is exactly why i disagree with everyone who thinks hopson isnt living up to his hype out of high school. the only people that gave him that hype were people on here who knew nothing about him except that he was 5th in the nation.

Harris - 10/10 - Early Signee
Selby - 4/10 - Depends on what happens. I don't believe he's a Tennessee lock, or even really considering Tennessee. I think he goes to Kentucky, but Tennessee might very well sneak up and get him.

Which would be most of us who don't actually watch high school basketball often.

but most of us read what the experts say, and all the experts said that the 2007 class put the 2008 class to shame, and that the 2008 class wasnt strong at all.
