I caught these on a radio interview with Tony Barnhart, but I tuned in late so I do not know if they have actually been adopted or are just in the proposal state? Does anyone know if they are official yet and of any other changes?
Kickoffs will be moved back to the 30 yard line. Does not bode well for the Vols if true. Touchbacks will be a true rarity when we are kicking off and coverage will need to improve.
After a commercial break, the offense will have 15 seconds to get the play off after the official blows the whistle. Does not seem to be a problem, we looked much more prepared and ready in 2006 with Cutcliffe running the offense.
Overall, the emphasis is on getting back the same number of plays per game before the 2006 season but still decreasing the length of a televised game.
