I will be heading to the Charleston Classic.

Should be a good tourney. The NC State- Georgetown matchup is the most anticipated. Georgetown's backcourt returns its 3 core players and NC State 3 frosh highlight this match-up.

I like to see how Coastal Carolina and Wofford fare coming off strong seasons.

Three NIT and NCAA Tourney teams from last season participating: Georgetown, Wofford, NC State

2 Former Auburn coaches will be on the sidelines: Jeff Lebo (ECU) and Cliff Ellis (Coastal Carolina)

First Year Coach Alan Major, a former Thad Motta assistant, Debuts for Charlotte. Charlotte started 10-2 last year only to finish 19-12.

ECU and SC Upstate should go winless in the tourney.

I think George Mason beats Charlotte, and the resulting Charlotte-ECU game should be pretty close.

Not much to get excited about for the outside fan here except an NC State -G'town matchup. I'm interested to see how those kids at NC State do.

Wofford getting some love from the Mid-Major pundits in this one:

I highly doubt the Terriers will take out the Hoyas, but hopefully we'll give them a game.

By, the way, Low Country, I didn't know I was stealing your sn at the time of signup...happy to change it up if necessary...you had it first :hi:

Gtown-Coastal Carolina
14 threes. Simply over-matched a weak opponent with a 2-1 rebounding adavantage. The three guards Clark, Wright and Freeman will need some frontline help against better competition. Ayegba should help when he is eligible.

NC State - ECU
State won by 20 with their best players, Tracy Smith, out with a knee injury and CJ Leslie non-productive with only 4 points. Ryan Harrow will be an impact player in the ACC. A phenomenal ball handler.

Jeff Lebo sucks and ECU sucks, a match made in heaven.

Semis
Georgetown-Wofford
NC State-Mason

I look forward to a Ryan Harrow Chris Wright match-up on Sunday.

No way Gtown gets beat by NC State. Hey LCV what do you think of Carolina First Arena?

Its a comfortable arena sitting around 5000 capacity. Any seat is good. The location is central to King street and east bay with close proximity to any restaurant of your choice.

State should keep it close but i think G'Town should win by 10 with their backcourt experience alone. CJ Leslie's play in the tourney has been atrocious but impressed with the other two freshman, Lorenzo Brown and Ryan Harrow. State is simple too green and frankly Sidney Lowe is still not a good x's and o's coach.

losing Tracy Smith really hurts NC State in this one. That was one position where they may have had an edge. NC State will need someone to step up and be a rebounder for them. As well as shoot the 3 better than they have been.

I think the Wofford-GMU game will be pretty close, and wouldn't be surprised to see Wofford pull out the win.

I had the chance to sneak in there and watch them practice a few weeks ago. Its in a nice location. UNC Asheville's new arena seems like it will be similar. I don"t understand why North Charleston Arena isn't used more.
