Don't get the wrong idea from what I said, I think Strong is going to be a great head coach. He can recruit very well and is a great defensive mind. I just said I don't think they will go with someone so inexperienced, they could definitely do worse than coach Strong.

There's a good chance the NCAA will make sure of that.

Strong would not leave Louisville, even if an offer were to come (which I doubt). Louisville finally gave him a HC chance, after years of deserving one. He's too classy to leave after that.

When will OSU actually know the penalties? I don't see many coaches taking the chance while those are still unknown. Apparently the hearing is August but the penalties could be later.

I don't remember the exact number, but I think it's like 90 days after the hearing.

The only reason it won't happen is if they don't offer it to him. Don't be naive. If OSU offered him the job, he'd take it in a heartbeat.

Funny how Meyer has been kissing Strong's a** since he left. Seems every coach has that one shoulder to lean on. Cut was Fulmer's. Seems like Strong was his ace in the whole and he realized he couldn't function without him.

Dan Mullen played an integral part with Meyer's O everywhere Urban went.

Agreed.

Most likely a young up and comer who thinks this could be their only chance to land such a prestigious job. Wouldn't make sense for a proven coach at a quality university to risk their career rebuilding a sanctioned program.

What about Sumlin from Houston who Hat swore we should have picked over DD. He won all of 5 games last year in conference USA but he had a hurt QB.

:lolabove: You have got to be kidding!...Well first off they are not hiring a new head coach for this upcoming season...They will have an interim coach for the season.

Fickle (interim coach) will be named head coach until the sanctions see clear...i.e. next year or two...then a REAL head coach search will be on (at which time Urban Meyer will un-retire to rebuild OSU)...jmo
