Taking the family to PCB this summer. My son and I fish inshore and surf but have always wanted to do a charter. Any good experiences down that way to recommend? Looking to do 4-6 hour trip and not break the bank if possible; something to cut our teeth on for first time off shore (and stock the freezer).

I can't remember any names since we haven't been to Panama in a while. I have been out on what they call the party boats with captain Anderson's, and actually done pretty good. If you enjoy fishing as much as me, go to the pier, especially the one not st pier park. We've caught tons of fish off the pier there. St Andrew's marina is also another place good for fishing, and you can probably find charters there. Good luck, and post pictures!

Yeah we are staying right beside St Andrews state park and were going to fish the pier and jetties. I didn't know charters ran out of the park. I'll check into that.

There are tons of options. I suggest going on a party boat early in the week to see how y’all handle the boat action. If all goes well ask one of the deck hands who they recommend for a private charter.

Dramamine can be hand too.

There are a couple head boats that run out of Captn. Andersons marina. Very affordable, decent fishing. Most any of the provate charters are $$ You might can call some and sk if they have any split trips(your group plus another group)

Good stuff thanks guys. At first I was kinda turning my nose up at a party boat, but it might be a good option for a first time out.

Like was mentioned, it's a good idea to see how you may handle the water. They can be fun as well, I've done good on them before.
