I love it when a recruit leans or commits to a school other than UT, that some of the posters on here think that it is because they are paid off. It is getting old. We win some and we lose some. Throwing out accusations that a team is paying off players to come without evidence isnt cool.

We have pulled some great players so far this year. Are we paying our players too?

Every school in the NCAA gives recruits something. Whether it be money or cars every school does it. I heard a story once about some school taking their visitors to a local car lot owned by a booster and they sold the cars for a dollar to the recruits.

I've heard players get paid for all kinds of things. My sister dated a star player for GT when in school and she told me some things about unmarked envelopes. Also had a friend get recruited by Colorado so you can imagine the stories he had from his visit (mid-90's)

I think the questions come up when it's a school who has not traditionally been a huge player jumps up and grabs quite a few big name guys. It's only natural to question it when it out of the norm

I was a bartender on the strip that was havily frequented by vol athletes. Trust me, back then, they all received something.
