Those are awesome stats. but most of these i suppose came against weaker teams. They will certainly change a lot once we get into our further schedule.

WOW!!!
I like all those stats. The Special Teams stats are great. We are a better team right now than last year for sure.

Is Florida still a top defense in the country? And obviously we've played a top offense in Oregon, number two in the country.

Our schedule is not an easy one, and I'm looking at the positives, and there are some.

and they've played 3 scrubs that should balance all of that out.

some of those stats are a total as opposed to an average and that's not indicative because a lot of schools have only played 4 games, not 5.

I think Palardy's 42-43 yard per punt is very impressive. Even more impressive is the 38.8 "net" yards per punt. That's pretty good to net almost 40 yards per punt.

To only have 725 yards, in 3.5 games is a little disheartening.

The teams we played last year were rarely in 3rd down situations. Only needed 2 plays to either get 10+ yds or score.... Only half kidding.

As an optimist, there is a lot of room for improvement of the offense. Consistency, penalties, turnovers and confidence are all ripe for improvement. Our potential for growth with the WRs and QB are a lot higher than teams who have pretty much reached a plateau in their development and growth (ex, how much better can OR get on offense, FL on D).

Also, we have some very good defensive stats, and some troubling ones. But we are at least 10 points a game better on Defense (including OR fiasco) than last year.

Yes, but there are scrubs and then there are scrubs.. I'll give you Austin Peay, but WKU with Petrino as head coach did beat Kentucky, and USA beat WKU..

I'm trying to find the positives here, and there are some.. Thus far, it has still been a pretty tough schedule for the VOLS.
