I read a good amount about Chernobyl a couple years ago. Looked at visiting as well. I find it very fascinating.

I hope the movie is good. The set and reconstruction of the city looks spot on from what little they show on the commercial.

I hope it's good. Did I mention that? It's not doing too well on RT right now.

Monday is the first day I'd have a chance to catch it. May do just that.

There's a website where a woman details her motorcyle ride through Chernobyl and I spent hours on it. The whole story is fascinating and tragic, and shots she took are haunting.

Having said that this movie looks like a good idea but horrible execution

The fact that it's the style of movie that has a pinnacle of success around the range of The Ring or Final Destination.

Saw the movie on Sunday.

As for a Horror version of I Am Legend I thought it was similar to that.
You don't know what's in the dark, less is more tourists get killed but you don't see their deaths with the exception of 2, don't see the humans altered by the radiation clearly until the end but it's not that long, somber what is help isn't help, and a somber ending.
I would reccomend it.

Thought the movie was alright. Was more interested in the concept of the abandoned city of Chernobyl. Think it could have been done a little better. Ending pissed me off, but was expected.

I think they got the idea for this movie from an episode of the SyFy channel show Destination Truth when they went Chernobyl to investigate reports of paranormal activity.

Yeah. I didn't expect that ending going into watching the movie, but after getting a little bit into the movie I started to get the feeling that was going to happen.
