Hey guys, I'm relatively new here, so I don't know how much you guys pay attention to uniform details (except for the orange pants). As a regular reader of the UniWatch blog, uniforms are something I tend to notice.

For the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, I'd like to see us in our normal orange/white pants combo. Since we didn't get to see a glorious Bama crimson/Tennessee orange matchup in October, maybe we could end up with a color/color matchup in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.

I'm not talking about Tech wearing their awful primary maroons, but instead their pretty neat (in my mind) throwbacks.

If they can't wear the maroon, of course, I'd hope they would choose to wear the white throwbacks, as the primaries look awful.

Sorry if this isn't of interest to anyone, but I figured I'd give my first new thread a shot.

I was afraid you were starting a "let's wear black uni's" thread. Not that I'm against them, I just didn't want the hysteria that comes with it.

My understanding is that UT will wear its standard orange home unis and VT will wear its standard white away unis.

Haha.

Well I was against the black at first, but I approve as long as it's a once-every-few-years thing and we kick some ass in them.

i would guess UT will wear its standard orange home uni and va tech will wear its white wounded soldier jersey or whatever nike calls those.

EDIT: or the ones that grimm reaper person posted.

Just for one game, I'd like to see them basically leave the orange and white the same and bust out the 1950s helmets- solid white with the orange stripe (with facemasks obviously :lol: )

We need to wear home uni's because i heard today on Sports Talk, Tn. is expecting 60,000+ ticket sales and VT around 6,000. This would be hillarious if true.

hahahaha, funny..... even though we've been to ATL twice already this season i promise you 6,000 is absurd. we travel pretty damn well even on a down year.

See, that stuff is wonderful. I'd love to use the old throwback looking equipment with facemasks.

if we showed up in purple uniforms with pink trim around orange numbers and neon green pants, i'd be happy... just as long as we win.
