So I go to check out the VN forums after the game and all I see when I scroll down is negativity. "Not sold on dobbs," "Our players gave up," "Butch failed, not sold on him."

Blah, blah, blah. Grow up.

Yeah, we sucked it up tonight. In just about every phase of the game except for kicking and punting, we were terrible, but are you really gonna just jump ship like that? Dobbs made some plays and his future looks extremely bright for us. And the record for teams who play an SEC team on the road after playing in Alabama is now 1-13. An Alabama hangover if you will.

Is that an excuse to give up or not play hard? Of course not. But if you think the way they play gives you an excuse to say things like you will puke if Butch Jones defends the team then you are pathetic.

I know we are UT. I know we have pride and tradition. But these kids are work horses week in and week out and heaven forbid they have a bad game because they are bound to get an ear full from the coaches, teammates, family, friends and fans. It's like they're not allowed to have a bad game ever, but if just one person tries to get in your face when you have a bad day at work you are ready to snap.

I'm sure I will take a ton of slack for posting this, but I don't care. Seeing that severe negativity crap makes me sick to my stomach. Vol fans are better than that. I love the University of Tennessee and it's football team and I back them on good days and bad. I am disappointed when the bad days happen, but it doesn't change one bit that Butch Jones is turning our program around and even with the bad game tonight we will be a force to be reckoned with in a very short time.

So to all the people fussing on VN, chill out. Post your replies saying "STFU" to me all you want. I couldn't care less. Like it or not, what I said is 100% truth.

Overall I'm excited for the future, it's bright IF we can recruit like the 2014 class for about three years straight. Hopefully we can get to a bowl game this year, at the beginning of the season the goal was to get to one and it still should be that.

UT is one of the most under achieving programs in the last 15 years... right there with Georgia.

When UT gets their ass handed to them by an inferior team talent wise... what else do you expect. I'm not nega-voling but this is "truth" also...

Take it as you will....

I should know better but I'm like a moth to a flame with all the stupid threads tonight. People do need to calm down.

We have a young team.

We could win out.....

We could not win another this year.

I'm a Vol either way. Go Vols!

What game were you watching? We lost to a top ten team with talent. BTW, the 15 year span of underachieving you mentioned includes a BCS title and four trips to Atlanta. Now if would have said we have been sucking since 2008, I would agree with you.

wasn't including 98', 14 years.... Add up the guys in the NFL and recruiting rankings and you will be hard pressed to find a more under achieving program.... like I said maybe Georgia.

And why are they a top 10 team? Is it because they were supposed to be heading into the season? Is it because of all the 4* and 5* talent they have on the roster? Same ol' excuse making I have heard the last 8 years.

Truth hurts sometimes. I'm not bashing players or calling for coaches heads.

We lost to the #9 team a week after losing to the #1 team in the country. It's the Alabama hangover. I don't like it, but I get it.
