Supposedly Chip Long is not expected to be Notre Dames OC even for their bowl game. Norvell has already hired his OC at FSU, but I can't imagine Long staying on the market for long, he's done a very solid job and is well thought of in the coaching community.

UGA in the right spot.

Possibly, be shocked if he didn't come back south, but he'll be a serious name all over the country. I would think Memphis would give him serious consideration for HC, may already a done deal from what I'm hearing.
Good guess on your part also! May be ready to run his own show and that program is set up nicely.

Certainly not scared of him, but I'd rather not have him in Memphis if I had a choice. Recruits love the guy and he produces nicely in that dept. Be better if ended up starting his Head Coaching gig at UTSA or some such.

Norvell is considered a good recruiter and he took what was leftover. No difference here.

I’ll admit. I don’t understand what you’re saying. 🤨

You can get kids to Memphis opposed to South Bend IN or Lincoln NB these days a helluva lot easier than you used to. Neither South Bend nor Lincoln have the "after I graduate I'll have a place I'd love to career in"

Memphis is a mid-major team. That’s why it’s a stepping stone program...not a destination.

Who claimed destination ? Better first gig to thrive at Memphis than to flame out and fail at NU or otherwise.
Tell you what. Fret yourself into a moat worrying about him taking recruits and I’ll sleep peacefully for the both of us. 😎

No fretting here, just choosing the path of least resistance. Would rather see a Travarious Robinson or similar at Tiger High than a guy that has proven he can get a kid to the shithole that is South Bend tradition and all.

Always ? You are an argumentative sort aren't ya ! Ricky Watters, Jerome Bettis, Rocket Ishmael, Brady Quinn, Todd Light, Rodney Culver, Tim Brown and about a 1000 more bluechippe recruits say you're dead wrong. ND only had trouble before prop 48 (and little at that) and once they broke down that barrier with Tony Brown they thrived. You think they won Nattys with scrubs ?
