after you called him out for being not grown up enough he puts together a GREAT game and then gives his body to make another clean block in a blowout game.

Last I heard they weren't gonna release any more info til they did tests today. I still haven't seen it, and don't think I wanna watch it. It's different when you know someone got up and walked away.

Nobody knows how bad Chism is. I think he was just knocked unconcious. Kinda like a boxer getting knocked out. He didn't know where he was for a few moments. He was strapped to the board for precaution only. We don't know that he couldn't get up and walk away. Saying that he will be out a month is stupid. Nobody knows what his condition is at this point.

Agreed. It didn't appear that he injured anything, I think it was more of a stinger and a mild concussion. Err on the side of caution in all of those situations though.

ESPN reported that Bruce Pearl told them that it was a stinger and he would be ok. Saw it on the ticker last night.

ESPN - Louisiana-Lafayette vs. Tennessee - Recap - December 29, 2008

Reached by text late Monday night, Pearl told ESPN.com's Andy Katz that Chism will be "OK." He said the elbow hit caused a "stinger."

I was watching the video stream on utsports.com. I had stepped away from the computer and came back to see the Power T graphic on the TBA videoboad and hear Kesling talking about Chism being down.

I saw his block on the fast break but must have stepped away just before it was realized that he was hurt.

Quite a relief to hear that it was indeed not a major injury.

They only gave Chism 2 blocks for the game. He had 3. One where he got hurt. And he had 2 consecutive blocks earlier in the game. The guy shot it, Chism blocked it. The same guy got the ball back and went up with it again an Chism blocked it again.

Chism had just been blocked cleanly on a 3 point attempt on our end. I don't think he took too kindly to that and he raced to the other end to make sure they didn't score off his mistake. (the 3 attempt was a bad one-under pressure-plenty of shot clock-huge lead) The people around us were saying things like "why did he throw himself up there like that when there's a 30-point lead?" I was saying "Because he's a competitor."
