I'm surprised no one has said anything, but I wonder if KJH will gauge interest from Chloe? She would be a huge upgrade at the 4 for Tennessee.
  • Good teammate/leader
  • Looks great in short shorts
  • Great outside shot
  • Looks great in short shorts
  • High basketball IQ
  • Looks great in short shorts
  • Aussie
  • Looks great in short shorts
Would love to see her in orange short shorts...

There has been discussion in the Non Lady Vol thread.

If Vince has room for her could see her headed straight for Texas. If not I'm sure she will try to find a team that needs a three point shooter that also is solid in most aspects of the game.

Mississippi State's Bibby enters transfer portal

According to ESPN, Chloe Bibby, 6-foot-1 Junior from Mississippi St. has entered the transfer portal. Mind you, while she is another forward, she missed the 2019-2020 season due to an ACL tear, so possibly could be granted playing time immediately due to this. No guarantee on that, but it’s worth the shot. She was a double-digit scorer for Mississippi State in 2018-2019 and is an Australian native. Perhaps, Rennie could lure her in. She also led Mississippi State in 3’s in 2017-2018 as a Freshman. I know this isn’t a necessary “guard” spot, but she could really lift our offense on opening the paint with being an outside threat. I’ve seen so many posts on here stating we need outside shooters, and this would be a great option! Plus, she’s already equipped for SEC play. Rae will most likely be in a guard spot any next season, so it would really help us to pick up someone like this!

What are everyone else’s thoughts? Should KJH go after her?

100% she should go for her, and she would be the perfect starter at the PF, unless Shakira Austin wants to come to Knoxville. She is an excellent player for sure!

I agree! However, don’t you think Shakira Austin would go somewhere that doesn’t already have 6’5” post players? I’d love to have them both join, but I think Austin wouldn’t want to be competing with people.

Any truly consistent outside shooter is welcome, espec one with SEC experience. Interesting, maybe this player is not thrilled w the new MS coach hire? I guess this is the start of the offseason musical player game we'll be seeing, espec if the rule about sitting out gets changed.

I think having two 6’5”s is the perfect fit since she wants to play more 4 and expand her game to face up more.

It would be the perfect to have twin towers and one be able to step out. If she actually has some mobility I would put her at the top of my press too and have Key in the back guarding the rim for protection.

Sidney Cooks transferred to MSST, and she's a better player. Chloe's minutes were gonna go down for sure, especially with Carter being a natural 4 and Rickea/Wiggins/Hayes at the other forward spot. I thought Chloe was going to transfer regardless if Vic stayed or not.

I believe that Bibby entered the Transfer Portal almost immediately after it was announced that Schaefer was going to Texas and before Nikki McCray-Penson was named as his replacement. So, the new coach apparently had nothing to do with her decision.

Agree, last month read Austin wanted to play more stretch 4/wing and didn't like her fit in the MD offense. Here is an article after her freshman season that confirms her desire to develop/demonstrate her perimeter skills more: here
