Choosing which end of the field to play on in OT?

There may be a logical answer to this question.....

Why did Dooley not play on the other end during Overtime? Away from Missouri fans and closer to the band/student section. Probably doesn't matter in the big scheme of things, but struck me funny......

The loudest Mizzou fans were in the south end zone. But still, the student section and our band are too. I don't even know how it's decided. Did we win the toss and elect to play defense first, so they picked which side of the field?

The OP is right. After the second OT Missouri chose defense and we chose to play on the same end as Missouri fans. I was wondering the same thing.

It was almost like Dooley was trying to lose with the decisions he was making yesterday.

I was on the end they played the entire OT on so I was happy!!! That said, everyone around us was amazed Tennessee chose that end.... Oh well, add it to the list!

I sit on the south end and was thoroughly frustrated with the decision, mainly because their fans were on that side of the field, but also because I couldn't see a thing for 4 OTs

I enjoyed sitting in their empty seats. Once they all graduate and have to pay face value or more to sit in worse seats, they will quickly find out how good they had it.
