I don't think it would be an unreasonable stretch to read this as Mersin assuming he will be in an NBA camp somewhere. I'm quite confident they believe he'll have offers better than the Turkish League.

I looked around on some Celtics forums and they all seem to be pretty impressed with Chris, feeling he will definitely receive a camp invite.
