offer expected tonight, if he declines expect Ed O to get the job.

Will he finally jump ship at Boise since they have dropped down a little bit?

I've always understood Petersen was comfortable at Boise and wouldn't be leaving. The guy has turned down multiple job opportunities (I think UCLA was in there at some point). It'd be a great hire for Southern Cal if true---I wouldn't want Orgeron long term.

Franklin would probably be a monster at USC. They should throw the kitchen and bathroom sinks at him. Wouldn't hurt our feelings a bit. Get that cocky punk out of the state at the same time.

Boise radio reporting Haden is in Idaho currently speaking with Petersen.

Noooo, want Franklin to stay. I want him to be around for the beatings he is going to be handed in the next few years.

If Petersen denies its either Coach O or Franklin. This is probably the best time possible for Petersen to exit, too

I have mixed feelings there too. Agree that it would be easier to beat Vandy with someone else coaching. That said, Tennessee has lost 2/3 to him and I would love to turn the tide.

I would love nothing more than to watch Butch curb stomp that stool for the next decade.

I watch a lot of Boise football (they're my adopted team) and for me and seemingly a large chunk of the fanbase the writing is on the wall: he's leaving, just a matter of where and when.

Going into this season they randomly and arbitrarily completely switched offenses away from Pete's shift-and-motion to a traditional type spread and all the plays were called by the OC (as opposed to Pete having a large say in the past). That speaks volumes to me. Just watching the games too, he was seemingly way less involved this season.

I honestly think part of the reason he didn't leave was his relationship with Kellen Moore and also the fact that BSU had a legitimate crack at sneaking into a few BCS bowls if not the championship game (if they had a kicker).

I don't understand the obsession with bsu coaches. They've all failed in the past.

Peterson has been the one constant. He was OC for Hawkins, Hawkins ventures out and fails while Peterson takes Boise to another level. He loses Harsin as OC and plugs in Pease and keeps rolling, while Harsin struggles as OC at Texas and HC at Ark State. Pease leaves for UF and Peterson/Boise keep going while Pease gets canned after 2 yrs.
