My daughter is going to be 4 in February and this is the first year that she has been really excited about Santa and Christmas. I couldn't care less if I got one single gift for my self. It is all about her and I cannot wait to see her face in the morning as she opens up her gifts.

First year that Santa doesn't make a big toy drop at our house. Gotta believe in Santa if you want the goods.

Wife and I were trying to decide if Christmas was more fun as a child or as an adult watching your children.

There is a lull where Christmas almost feels more like a chore between late teens/early 20s until your first child turns around 3ish and that light of excitement comes on in his/her eyes.

I forgot ours are that close. It's awesome how excited they are at this age. Mine are still asleep, I'm hanging out, drinking coffee and just appreciating the quiet before chaos ensues. Merry Christmas man.

Wish mine would have slept in. They were up at 0600. The rule is that they can't come out of their room until dad gets his first cup of Joe in.

We are in that lull, kids are grown but no grandkids yet. Time to take advantage of these years and spoil ourselves with some holiday vacations. Grandkids will be here before we know it.

My youngest is 14 and the other 2 are in their 20s. They don't get as excited as they used to. Still enjoy giving them gifts though.

We are three Christmases from that point and I can't wait.
