Guns it coming out of turn 4 at Martinsville and rides the wall. Will it stand? He had just passed Wallace, but wanted to be sure Wallace didn't come back at him.

Oh well, 15 minutes later he was penalized. Byron takes the spot in the playoff finals.

All around pathetic situation for NASCAR.

There was manufacturer manipulation from Toyota and Chevy all around. And both parties have their guilty faults. Since Byron didn’t contribute anything himself, he got the nod, and NASCAR used the “hail melon” rule as grounds to disqualify Bell.

But the bow tie brigade wall with Dillon and Chastain protecting Byron was orders from Chevy.

Bubba slowing down to form a blockade in front of Byron and then slowing down more to allow Bell to pass him was all manipulation from Toyota.

NASCAR created this by having the playoff system.

Austin Dillon pile driving cars at richmond

The 22 getting in off a random dsq.

The 1, 3, 20, 23, and 24 playing dirty tricks.

NASCAR playoffs have made a mockery of the sport’s integrity.

I said this on the NASCAR forum but I wonder if you switch up Byron and Bell situation, does it still go the same way ?
That scenario would go from having no Chevy to one getting in at last second. Not to mention it gets a Hendrick guy in since you already got a quasi-Gibbs guy in with Reddick.

Saw a thing today where if points were kept the way they used to be before the playoffs, Bell wins over Byron by 5 points.

I won't lie, I like the excitement the playoffs breed. However, I think if they wanted to make it really interesting, they'd stop with the round of 12 and so on, make two cuts or not even make one and let those 12 race over the final 10 races.

For years people have been complaining of it being stale. I won't lie, I like what AD3 did at Richmond, 20 years or whatever if Dale did it, people would have eaten it up. I understand the Hail Melon call, but I enjoyed the drama of that. Bell should have known better with this one.

The gloves need to come off and stay off, I want to see more fights in the pits, more guys being able to run hard on the track and not have to worry about being fined or whatever from Nascar. It's more fun when there are rivalries and guys are holding grudges.

I realize this makes me sound full on ignorant lol but I just want to see something craziness.
