Cierra Burdick became the 25th student-athlete in University of Tennessee history and the second Lady Vol hoops standout to be named a Torchbearer.

Had no clue about all the other stuff she had going on. What a terrific person. So glad she played for us!

Ms Burdick is truly an example of how a person can overcome obstacles in life and become a model citizen. Sometimes the cards we are dealt in life seem unfair. We all must remember that no matter how bad we may think we have it, someone may be doing far worse than we are. Always put forth the effort in all you do....... be it basketball, work or whatever you choose to do. Giving your best, gives you a chance. The future is bright for Ms Burdick. She will be missed. She is a true "Lady Vol". So proud of her.
