Anyone think the SEC would take a peek at Cincinnati as a school of interest. I know they add very little to the sports landscape, but it would open up Ohio a bit more to recruiting. (I know, I know, there is nothing southern about them, but that all seems to be flying out the window)

No. Despite UC having about 40,000 students it's a small fanbase, and that's because Ohio belongs to the Buckeyes.

yeah, I am not in support of it, but it does appear that the SEC wants to increase its footprint and many teams, it seems, are leaving the table

yeah, the only thing I was thinking when I was looking at what was left of the Big East is that it adds a state. I can't see UK being ok with adding Louisville while USC, UF, and UGA are getting their panties in a wad over adding ACC teams from their state.

I grew up as non-Buckeye fan Ohioan. Columbus and Cleveland definitely are OSU territory. Cincinnati has some OSU fans to be sure, but the average person there is more concerned with Reds baseball & College Basketball (UC and Xavier) than the Buckeyes. You'll probably see more UK gear than OSU in Cincinnati.

I agree with you that Cincinnati is a pro town, but I see a ton of Buckeye stuff. It's crazy but I see very little UK stuff in Cincy, but cross into NKY and it's everywhere.
