He is a special kind of stupid. I didn't know whether or not to post that here or in the politics forum. But clearly the moron doesn't have a clue.

I hope he gets his wish and it makes national news, not just local.

I like when he starts snapping pictures frantically. It was pretty obvious he didn't know how to get to his camera that quickly.

And his ignorance that being filmed while showing his ass in a public space is fair game to be posted anywhere without his permission.

I saw this yesterday and wondered if it would pop up here. Lol. I'm a firefighter myself and I just can't fathom how stupid this guy is. Those guys handled it great.

After all the things we go through in a daily basis. He has the guts to act that way? When we miss family time, sleep, see poor children and parents helplessly trying to escape and be scarred forever.

It's not like if a call was toned out they wouldn't be right there to go to it. Good lord. They are buying groceries out of their own pocket. The only complaint that guy has is diesel for the truck. But like the guy said who is going to overpay for something knowing down the road is better prices.

Even with the fuel costs, I would rather have the firefighters in their truck than scrambling back to the station in someone's Honda.

Exactly. Gear is always with you I can guarantee you that. We literally have ours with us where it's able to be fully donned in under 2 minutes including scba everywhere we go. The guy is just a tool lol.

Eventually, that same crew will have to respond to that man, when he has a coronary.

I've run into patrolling firefighters and police at yard sales. Seems like a reasonable way to stretch the legs and establish some neighborhood presence. I never thought anyone would do that if they actually had an emergency to respond to.

You make a good point here. Where I live they actually like when they see us out. People come up and talk and seem to be glad that we are out and about. There was a point in time when our last chief really was kind of a hermit and people began to actually speak badly about never seeing us active.

There is no reasonable argument to be made for that guy. You're right, it makes perfect sense to not only use the engine, but do so with it manned.

And even still, why waste their time fussing at them? If it is such a concern, you know where to find their chief because it is written on the damn truck.
