Let's try to keep the debate in this forum civil. The topics in here are bound to create strong opinions and emphatic responses, but remember that the board rules for flaming apply in here just as in every other forum. :hi:

I don't care where they lean as long as they don't cause me to have a migraine.

This coming from the mod who made fun of my inability to hit greens. Nothing hurts a man more than mocking his golf game.

Been reading some of the posts I think you are referencing.

Funny how some of these folks are so smart they must attack others for their perceived inability to understand a point of view when it is they themselves that have the problem understanding or accepting other points of view.

Praise god and pass the ammunition.

I found that really funny, thank you.

Agreed. When we keep the debates to the facts, we're allright. B/c deep down what everyone wants is the truth. It's the spin that gets us all riled up, and let's leave that to the politicians and talk show hosts.

You know, Limbaugh, Hannity, Glenn Beck - those guys make me angry. O'Reilly, for some odd reason, mostly just makes me laugh. Probably b/c of the irony of that description: "No Spin Zone."

Awwwww............I love Glenn Beck's sense of humor.

Me too. Unlike the other guys, Beck has some sort of Everyman quality to him.

his "debunking global warming fears" episode/segment the other night annoyed me though ... half of this stuff has been explained time and time again, but it is still brought up. I hate the fact that in light of obvious contradictory evidence....some people make a living out of just saying something over and over until people accept it as truth (such as Al Gore and "inventing" the internet).

I've never liked the guy. To me, he's the same as the others. I can't listen to more than 3 minutes without wanting to punch him. And unfortunately I don't get any cheap entertainment from him.

For example, did you see the interview with Mn. Rep. Keith Ellison? That was 100% spin, implying that Democrats = cut and run = cozying up to Muslims = cozying up to Muslim terrorists. He told Ellison to "prove to me that you're not working with the enemies" simply b/c he's Muslim.

Nice. The problem is that a lot of people don't see through that (smart people included), and just get riled up and start to believe that stuff is true.

Civility? War of words? Watch the tone? I leave for a week and excitement happens while I'm gone...and warnings from the mods and I'm not around...there goes my reputation.

you really didn't miss that much; the whole warning thing stemmed from a disagreement the other night when I ended up calling GAVol a "nappy-headed man-ho." :)

jus' kidding, GA!
