Agree. You don't get much coach speak from him, usually pretty clear answers with substance. I was sitting pretty close to the field, and I am almost certain he talked the refs into the OPI call on #18 against Mizzou. It certainly should have been called, but there was no flag, but Heupel was on them hard, and out comes the flag. IMO, fwiw, I think it means 2 things:
1. The man fights for the team
2. He is gaining cred with officials

It may have just been a super late flag but I really thought he convinced them. It was an obvious call from where I was sitting, btw.

Yeah, it was so late, unless it was on the ground, and I didn't see it. Coach was likely pointing out the very thing you stated or wishing them a happy and safe holiday season.

Refs come outta the cab throwing the flag on Tennessee on that call. Today was easy call.

His demeanor carries over to everyone. When it was tight early there's no panic or histrionics on the sideline. Just the quiet confidence of doing what you've been taught. And these coaches are teachers of the science of football. It's just a thing to behold
