Wow. Didn’t see that coming. Didn’t see her being an assistant nor staying in the SEC.

Is this source legit? The article was published five days ago and hasn’t gained any traction online.

Has Kentucky made an official announcement? Or, heck, The Ball Out Sports? Doesn’t seem legit

The first clue was the extended loading of crap advertising. Closed link quickly.
I didn't open it, but did react to the headline. Gullible me.

It has happened before, Gail Gastenkors and Mickie DeMoss did it. But I think it's way too soon for Kellie, esp in the SEC.

I'm curious if the Harpers are still in Knoxville. Hope they're doing well. Has to be a very strange fall for them.

The Harper's have sold their home, so I would say you will see Kellie on the move and on another sideline as early as next season.
I wonder where they ended up. The kids have to be in school somewhere.

Losing a coaching job is like having a close family member die. You need at the very least a year to grieve, then get together with some wise and trusted basketball minds to re-examine if there was anything you could have/should have done differently.

Once she's either determined what changes she'll make in her coaching approach--or, had her philosophy and methods confirmed (accepting that the breaks just didn't fall her way at Tennessee)... then would be the time to consider taking another coaching position.

Where she coaches won't be nearly as important as that it is fun again for her.
Gotta fall in love again before you risk your heart.

Disagree 100%

Can it be a hit to the pride, a hit to your confidence, sure? But I don't think anyone who's actually had a close family member die could say this is a close comparison.
