The best 2013 linebacker in the country is more than likely from Georgia.

Johnny O'Neal at West Laurens and Ruben Foster at Troup are both sick.

What is in the water in Georgia?

It's a valid question and one that was asked recently by a college coach when he saw film on Dublin (Ga.) West Laurens linebacker Johnny O'Neal.

O'Neal's play speaks for itself. The physical linebacker was an imposing force for the West Laurens defense in 2009, accounting for 115 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and six sacks. His physique makes a statement as well. At a powerful 6 feet 2, 230-plus pounds, O'Neal is every bit the presence a coach looks for out of his inside linebacker.

It would seem that the state of GA will be loaded every year. You also have to love the fact that our HC has strong ties to the state. I have to believe that DD can walk into any high school in GA.

Another name to remember dawg fans is Tramel Terry. A 2013 wr.
Ht:5'11"
Wt:170 lbs
40:4.4 secs
Class:2013 (High School)

Reuben Foster is going to be a beast. Pretty scary that he is 6' 2" 205 lbs. already and is just a high school freshman.

It is crazy that GA produces as many top D1 talents as they do. If you look at the '98 NC team, there was a strong Georgia influence on that team. We need to make headway back into the state and it appears that this staff (Dooley and Smith as well) will do just that.

I wouldn't worry too much about the class of 2013 right now. We still have 2 more classes to put together first. Still i think its crazy all the hype kids are gettin these days, especially the underclassmen. I enjoy keeping track of the recruiting front but who really knows how good these kids are gonna turn out to be? Thats why i dont think these kids should be hyped up the way they are.

I remember when I was in the 8th grade and a college baseball coach saw me play against his son and after the game he came up to me and said he's looking forward to seeing me play for them in the future and that he would keep up with me. The next year I quit baseball for basketball, had knee problems, and lost almost all of my athletic ability before I graduated. The moral of the story: who knows how a kid will turn out 3 or 4 years down the road so we shouldn't worry about them too much right now. Let's see what the rest of the year up until next Feb. brings for us.

I love recruiting, but I don't want to even think about trying to keep up with the 2013 class.
