Sounds like the state of college football, with NIL and the transfer portal, played a big role in his decision to step down. I can understand his frustration, especially at a place like Wake Forest.

WF basketball just received a $5M donation to their collective. But no joy like that for their football program.

You got to think, at a place like WF, you do develop a player who was maybe less recruited only to see him transfer out as soon as he gets offers at bigger programs... that's got to suck.
