Smear campaign, plain and simple. Clay's right, the timing of it is what is more damaging. It's pure and simple sabotage. I wish we had some busy bodies sniffing around the UF program, bet there is plenty of juicy stuff going on with their recruiting. I'm sure Saban follows all the rules too.

This writer doesn't seem to have a clue as to why the girls were there. Has he not heard of Marcus Lattimore, who might be the best running back in the country?

i think the news of this "review" is the timings of it.

there are known connections between the writer and urban meyer... nuff said.

He was also on 104.5 the zone tonight saying the same stuff. Of course the Vandy homers sounded very skeptical.

Finally, even if Tennessee's coaching staff was involved in encouraging these girls to go to games, is it a significant violation?
Probably not.... And I think that's why the story is out there now. Because the negative publicity associated with this story in a time of recruiting is more valuable than any penalty the NCAA could actually levy.

This would lead to suggest the NCAA as the whistle blower. While unlikely, it is still interesting.

104.5 the Zone is notorious for being Vandy Homers and Willie Daunic is looking, as always thru Gold and Black Glasses. Just because there is an allegation dosent mean there is truth. This is still a GOP state and the USA. WOW.....
