Streeter was the recruiting coordinator during the peak of their success. Wish we could find a spot for him somewhere. Also it was Dabos decision to stick with DJU and to refuse to utilize the portal and cost them a playoff shot. When HCs start firing longtime assistants it usually starts the downward spiral.

Hired Garrett Riley and Jeff Scott is coming back as an analyst for them. He was a huge part of their success a few years ago due to his recruiting ability.

Dabo made great decisions here, unfortunately.

...or it could jumpstart him again. Who knows. Dabo took a huge step forward when he fired Billy Napier as OC after the 2010 season and then especially after he fired Kevin Steele after the 2011 season.

Unfortunately, it looks like he made a really good decision with this one. Hopefully he still doesn't embrace NIL and the Portal.

Yep opens that cracks open that door of doubt for assistants, they begin to think who's next. Job offers that they might not have considered now begin to look better. Or it could light a fire under them to do better and keep their jobs

If Scott is coming back as an analyst he cant help them that much LEGALLY in recruiting. Surprised he wasnt just made the OC.

Napier was hired by Bowden and was Never Dabos guy. Streeter is an ALUM and was Dabos handpicked choice and he cut him loose after they scored five more PPG than last year. Its pretty dirty. But there are plenty of examples to support your theory. The closest Richt came to making a CG was after he fired his best friend Martinez. So it could rejuvenate him. But I hope not. I dont see a way that Tennessee and Clemson can both consistently be Top 5 teams. We need them to die.

Clemson and Tennessee could both consistently be top 5 teams if UGA, Alabama, and UF were all bad. Not all of those teams are going to be bad at the same time though.

Unless it’s Jesus himself, I think that position is going to a GA or to someone who has coached with Heupel previously. Would love for him to get an analyst position or player personnel and get to know Heupel in case Joey moves up like Golesh did.

I thought they got better numbers this past year under Streeter. I guess the right person complained

Better than 2021, but still very far below their expectations.
2021 was historically bad for Clemson's offense, 360.8yds offense/gm
2022 - 410.3yds/gm

<2020 - 500+yds/gm
