I don't know much about the recruiting ability of the two of them. In terms of the product that will ultimately be put on the field, they upgraded.

Terrible hire IMO. Go check out some of his games over the past few years with far superior talent every time OU steps on the field with the Tex game being the only exception.. If we had hired him I would have been furious.

Say what you want, but Oklahoma is better off now. Venables is an upgrade for Clemson, but Oklahoma has the better DC.

I read Chaney made $525,000 last year. A Sal supposedly signed for $800K a year.
