Tied in the 4th quarter 17-17.

Clemson defender just punched the Pitt QB right in the facemask, and the refs closed their eyes and didn’t throw the flag.

Commentators dumbfounded, said it was outrageous that there wasn’t a flag.

After 2 minutes of discussion and lots of booing from the crowd, they finally made the unnecessary roughness call.

Is this something that’s reviewable? Commentators didn’t know, and there wasn’t an announcement of review. The refs continue to be just absolutely terrible. I guess I should give them credit for getting the call right, but they certainly broke a few steps of protocol.

I saw it….. still can’t believe no one saw it.

Nice, clutch 47 yarder is good! Pitt leads 20-17 with 1:36 left. Clemson has no timeouts left, but they’re getting the ball on a kickoff now.

The OC for Pitt should be fired immediately. Playing for a field goal while leaving 1:40 on the clock

Refs trying their best to help Clemson.
Dunno. The end result of this game has a great chance of being “don’t worry ACC. The highest ranked team in the conference, Miami, won’t miss the ACC Championship Game”.

Edit: And as I just typed that, Clemson’s QB manages to run for a 50 yard TD with 1:16 left.

Somewhat disagree, respectfully, here in that a team’s defense shouldn’t allow a QB to run half the length of the field for a TD with a little over a minute and a half left in the game.

Probably should have been a false start called on Pitt there on that last play, but not that it would have really made a difference.
