Jeez, what are the chances of anything like that happening??

Close Obama Pal Embroiled In Grant Fraud Scandal | Judicial Watch

It’s the taboo portion of the story that’s been ignored by the mainstream media and conveniently omitted in government press releases announcing the June federal indictment a month after it was filed. The one-time director of the Chicago Chapter of the National Black Nurses Association (Margaret Davis) faces two decades in prison for defrauding various state grant programs out of approximately $500,000, according to federal authorities.

What the feds haven’t revealed is that the state agency that gave Davis all the money, the Illinois Department of Public Health, was run by one of Obama’s closest pals, Dr. Eric Whitaker, when the cash was disbursed. We know this only because Chicago’s conservative-leaning newspaper has been digging around. This week it published a lengthy article connecting the dots between Whitaker and the corruption scheme.

The state’s convicted felon governor (Rod Blagojevich) appointed Whitaker health director in 2003 after Obama, a state senator at the time, recommended him.
-------------------------------

He seems to have little worries as he enjoys his lucrative, private-sector job. In 2007 Whitaker resigned to join Michelle Obama at the University of Chicago Medical Center where he makes more than $670,000 a year as executive vice president for strategic affiliations and associate dean for community-based research.

I would say this is the apex of community organizing if it weren't for some of the half billion dollar scams that have recently been revealed.

BTW, when Obama was elected to the Illinois state senate, Michelle was given a position paying $150,000 annually, when he was elected US senator her pay was upped to $300,000, when he was elected president the position was terminated and no replacement was hired when Michelle went to Washington to tell us all how to eat healthily.

Did Whitaker do anything illegal? Was he involved in the grant decision making process?

I dislike Obama as much as anybody, but how is this about him?

Whitaker had his position at the reccomendation of
Obama and was in charge when the monies originally
changed hands.

So, if I recommend someone to a position in my office and that person steals paperclips, then I am responsible?

I'm so surprised to see you post something like this, MG. I really am.

Why? I can be petty and vindictive at times. The left constantly played the "guilt-by-association" card with Bush. Now that it's being played against Obama, they cry foul. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.

Sorry, that was sarcasm ;)

Do you think the paperclips should be held accountable?

At the bare minimum you would have been guilty of making
a poor judgement of character decision.

Question;

How many paper clips do you think $500,000 would buy?
