We all know how well Dooley and staff finished the 2010 class with very little time. We've also seen him bring in ALOT of prospects over the spring and summer for camps. It's now obvious that CDD doesn't put a ton of emphasis on in-season Official Visits, preferring instead to have OV's after the season to really maximize the time with the prospects and sell the University and not just gameday. The fact that we're still in on some big time prospects with our struggles so far is encouraging. This leads me to believe that this staff is going to make a HUGE push after the season. I could see Dooley closing like Fulmer or Bowden used to. My only question for this recruiting class is will CDD be willing to recruit over some guys when the time comes?

I feel confident that this staff will close strong. V, B!

I'm feeling like it will be a top 15 class.....maybe we can steal a few guys and sneak in to the top 10

Could the outcome of UGA's season send 1 or 2 guys our way? Just asking. I mean if Richt actually gets fired.

Definitely don't want Richt to get fired. Better for us in the long-run. Better chance to get them anyways if he stays at UGA.

I don't think richt is going to get fired unless he has a really bad finish to the season. I just don't see it happening this year.

Without knowing individual prospects, Richt's termination should certainly help us considering CLT and CCS are lurking. Problem is, Clemson, GaTech, and SoCar would also benefit greatly, imo.

Sure enough, LOL. Mainly Sterling Bailey and Zach DeBell were the 2 I was looking at. I thought we had a really good shot at DeBell, then he suddenly committed to UGA... Just a pipe dream.

Would losses to us, UK, Auburn, and the Gatas be bad enough. The loss to Miss St. already has them UUUPSET! The loss to Colorado, well I don't know what to say about that. I wanna laugh at them, but when I do Wyoming comes to mind. UUGH!

I really hope that there are several current commits to other schools that this staff and current UT commits are still working. It happens every year.

Getting beat by Vanderbilt and Georgia tech could seal it. I think he can survive a 4-8 season possibly, but nothing worse. It's not like his team has gotten blown out all year. with a Freshman qb and with aj Greene being out the first 4 games, he has somewhat of a cushion.

That's the main reason I was eyeing UGA guys. Clear, and Richardson would be sweet to top off in-state guys. Thomas and King along with them wouldn't be bad. But I'm with you, we all know we need to close strong. Getting them from other schools like UGA wouldn't hurt me at all. Dooley pulled Rogers and Hunter from Rivals at the last second last yr. Here's to hoping he can do it again, LOL.

I think he will finish strong.

As for recruiting over, I think it will happen for guys who still have commit-able offers in other places. If we see one or two guys "Switching" in November or December I will take it as a good sign.

LV or Sab or J would know better than I do if any of our current commits are grades issues.

I think that instead of ending with a Propst type guy, we will end with Stone, Hunter etc guys and we will end with 5-6.

If we pull 2 5 stars, I think they will both be players from Georgia.

It is very important to Dooleys long term success that we dominated that state.

5 years from now in basketball and football we may look at our athletes from Georgia and thank God that we pulled them because they are the keys to some historic greatness.

See you have migrated from GVX, welcome to a much, much better site.

LOL, yeah!! The tolls from other teams started getting old. I actually think they were KNS employees posing as trolls to get their hit counts up. JMHO. :good!:

With Dooley's personality he's going to be a good closer for us. Fulmer was a great closer back in the day because he washed them dishes.

As of right now, (and that my memory allows) none of our commits have grade issues. That is one thing CDD is looking at for this class. He wants to get numbers for depth. He isnt going to take a risk on someone right now. Not yet at least. Now onthe OP.....

I think he does close strong. Our schedule will play a role in that too hopefully. We should start a good end of the season saturday. Our schedule should allow us to win and make us look "hot". A strong close to the season will help CDD alot. IMO, that is key to if he closes strong.

YES, a bowl victory would be nice as well.

I really think we could finish strong to the season, I think we will have real shot at USCe & I really believe we will win our last 4 ( Memphis, Ole Miss, Vandy, & Kentucky ) but the on thing that really worries me is injuries & depth. Injuries have already started to hurt us this season we have a few more to some key players & we could possibly have a horrible finish to the season.

What's with the 5* LB from Va? Is he just enjoying his recruiting, are we a player? Also, what about Dunaway? I know dude isn't ranked that high, but GOODNESS dude has an NFL body. He's built like Jeff Luc. He has size and speed, is he just under-rated? Lateek Townsend?? We need a STUD LB in this class.

I assume your talking about Travis Hughes? He is a 4*, really dont see us being a player there.

Dunaway, we lead for. He has grade issues though, staff gave him a conditional offer on him getting his grades up. Kid has a physically ready body for the SEC right now, but I saw someone on here say he really is'nt SEC talent.

Lateek Townsend hasnt mentioned us in a while, I know him & Pat Martin are good friends. Really dont see us being a player here but with Martin being in his ear you never know.

Our best chance at landing another LB are with Lamar Dawson & Gionni Paul with Paul being our best bet.

Curtis Grant - Yahoo! Sports

I'm speaking of Curtis Grant from Va. But I would take Lamar Dawson.

Not the deepest class in Va this yr, but they traditionally produce GREAT talent. We are WAY too close to not get in on some of it.

Curtis Grant is a big UF lean...UT doesn't have a horse in the race.
