Jake Rubley is a top 2021 quarterback from Highlands Ranch, Colo., who recently took a bunch of visits during spring break. Below, Rubley, who has 14 offers, offers some thoughts on each of his trips:


Tennessee: "The new coaching staff is great and I think they’re turning around the program like they should. Coach (Jeremy Pruitt) says he expects eight but wants to win 10. The players are playing well. Their quarterback (Jarrett Guarantano) is coming back from last year and he’s playing really well. The facilities and everything else was amazing. It was great."

Iowa: "Their coaching staff has been there forever. Coach (Ken) O’Keefe is one of the best and he’s always great to talk to and see. I got to sit down and watch a little film with him just to see what they go over with their offense and what they expect from the quarterback. I also got to see the school itself, too, so it was pretty sweet."

Northwestern: "The facilities are beautiful. They’re probably the best in the country, right on Lake Michigan, which is insane. That was my third time being there. I have a great relationship with the coaching staff and coach (Pat Fitzgerald) and coach (Mick) McCall is one of the best."

Wisconsin: "It was unbelievable. It was my first time there and it was amazing. The scrimmage alone had probably 10,000 people in the stands just watching. Their quarterbacks are playing well and they have a quarterback battle going on right now so that’s pretty sweet to see and then coach (Paul) Chryst and coach (Jon) Budmayr are great and they know their stuff. I used to travel there for business and had a customer in Salina. Driving from KC to Salina was horribly boring
