I think it says a lot of him going into the oline meeting full of seniors as a freshman and saying hey I'm the man. I'm your QB

Let's keep him vertical. Last one standing.

I hope we let him throw vertically and to send a message to Mizzou I hope the first play dialed up is a 50 yd bomb to North. Whether it is complete or not, it shows they need to be ready and it is not going to just be dink and dunk.

He will do well I think. He did well against Bama several of those incompletions were on the receivers. I have respect for Missouri but they are no Bama and neither is their stadium. I feel good about it, go orange!

He and Ferg both are very smart guys and good football players as we all know.

No matter what happens we can all expect some Freshman moments and mistakes so don't get down on him or Ferg if either of them make some mistakes during any games.

They're young, raw and have no experience playing in something as brutal as the SEC.

Straight out of high school to playing in the SEC is a huge step up.

I feel so good about the future of the next few years with these 2 Freshman QB's leading our program and learning from this coaching staff that I just want to jump up and down singing "Rocky Top"!

Our footVols future is so bright over the next few years with much better recruits coming in too that the future is blinding.

#BrickbyBrick...VFL...GBO!!!

One thing is for sure. If Dobbs plays the rest of the games he will face pretty much every level of opponent we have...from Alabama to Kentucky. We should be able to get a really good idea of how good he's going to be.

If one of these guys step up and win the starting position and keep it does anyone think that the other will transfer. I've been watching other teams and it seems like most of them have two good QB. Take for instance ohio st both of the QB seem to be happy with the way it is. It makes me wonder if we will be lucky enough to keep one from transferring. What does everybody else think?

That's fine and dandy, just don't turn him into some kind of escape goat if the game hits a rough patch.

Thats what I am worried about. A lot of people have been calling for Dobbs to start all season. Now that he is us fans need to cut him some slack. I think he is going to do good but we have to expect some rookie mistakes. If this game does somehow go south and it happens to be Dobb's fault, we cannot sink him. Everybody knows how finicky vol fans can be. One minute Dobbs throws a TD and he is the second coming. Next minute he throws a bad pass and he is the worst QB we have ever had.
