Tonight UConn takes on South Carolina. I couldn't help but think that if we had Staley as coach it probably would be Tennessee playing UConn tonight.

Take a look at what coach Dawn Staley has done since she's been in the ranks.

"While still a WNBA player, she started coaching the Temple University Owls women's basketball team in 2000.In six years at Temple, she led the program to six NCAA tournaments, three regular season conference championships, and four conference tournament titles."

Not a big deal but she didn't have any McDonald All Americans playing for her. Not a one. She molded her team into what she wanted them to become. WiNNERS!

"On May 7, 2008 she was named the University of South Carolina women's head basketball coach. Over the following six seasons, she improved her program's record every year, up to winning the SEC in 2013-2014. In late 2014 her team achieved the program's first #1 ranking, making her only the second individual to both play on and coach a #1 ranked team."

Coach Holly Warlick is going in the opposite direction. We already know her record with ALL the McDonald All Americans at her disposal.

Let us face the facts. South Carolina is the cream of crop of the SEC. Next it's Mississippi State. Tennessee isn't even top 4. Missouri has a better record than the Lady Vols.

It's time for a change before we hit rock bottom.

Fire Holly, NOW! :)

I guess the voters just couldn't put us out of the top 25, just yet.

Wonder where we will be in the USA Today poll.:thud:

Didn't Holly win 30 games last season. Maybe it's not the coach.

Excuse me, but the link you provided to support your statement that Holly turned down the South Carolina job does NOT read that way. The link says Holly did not submit for the job that she thought about the opportunity but did NOT submit for the job. It behooves me that people say Holly is a good coach, she was/is a good assistant coach, NOT a head coach. Unless you are satisfied with winning a bunch of games but not going anywhere. :bash:
