C'mon men. Don't yank my feel good personal football vibe here.

And it sounds stupid I have to say c'mon "men".

Why don't we ever see CCM doing this kind of stuff?

CCM did a benefit dinner at the school I formerly worked at a few months ago.

I'm pretty sure he did it for free, and as a favor to our small school.

And he couldn't meet anyone because of the dead period, but I was told that he apologized repeatedly to people because he couldn't come out and shake hands and meet all of us.

Don't be so quick to assume. I realize CCM is not as publicized as CBJ, but I think a lot of that has to do with their respective personalities. CBJ is a PR master. CCM lives under the radar. He's a quiet guy, but I am sure that he has done plenty of things for fans and organizations that we have no idea about. And no, I'm not saying I want him to remain our coach. I love Coach Martin as a person, but I don't think he's the man we've been looking for.

However, it IS awesome that our football coach does things like this. Gotta love that. Helps us to feel connected with our program.

Cuonzo does not instill confidence in the fan base.
We're realistic enough to see that the basketball program is not in good hands.

That's why I posted. If he were out in the community interacting with fans and selling the program, I believe more fans would be behind him despite his struggles.

It would be hard for Cuonzo to "sell the program" because he knows as well as everyone else that he's the one holding back the program. To sell the program, you have to be a dynamic sort of person with at least a smidgen of charisma. Cuonzo is not.

Butch Jones - future hall of fame coach
Mason - future hall of fame coach - he was writing out better plays than most of the armchair QBs on here
