"Obviously he's a great coach," Jones said. "We all understand what he's meant to this football program."
Speaking about Tee Martin.

i.e.Mike Hamilton, Coach Dooley.

Coach Jones statement above brings it home for me. He knows and feels what the Tennessee fans desires by bringing Tee here. Ironic the ones that did not bring in Tee are gone now.

Also it is funny every topic discussed on this board seems to carry weight. Jay Graham VolNation wanted him and he is the only one staying and now we wanted Tee and he is coming. So what do we want next?:)

Not hard to outsmart Derek Dooley, but yes.

Coach Jones is doing all the right things right now...similar to how Cuonzo has been very public since his hiring. I like it. Keep the fans involved because ultimately we are the lifeblood of the program.

Coach Jones seems to know more about the x's and o's of football than Dooley did. I hope Tee comes to Tennessee.

I want a coach that builds on the foundation that is in place, solves the problems that exist, understands the tradition, and becomes a successful face for the program for many years.

You people drive me nuts. Y'all act like Dooley had the ability to hire and fire at will when he got here. 2 weeks to build his staff and hammy tying his hand behind his back with trying to avoid other buyouts. Especially on the O side of the ball. Last yr Dooley had to focus on trying to restructure the D. Didn't go well..his fault or thrown under the bus by Hart no one knows. He had 2 solid hires both on the O side. Pittman at OL and Graham(a vol) at RB. Both areas of the team drastically improved. He didn't have room to hire Tee. Sure if he did and was looking to fill a position he would be qualified for then Im sure he wouldn't have had an issue with it. And no like some hire may want to think...Tee Martin is not qualified for the OC job yet.

Y'all act like Dooley did all this to UT with malice. Kiffin took down the posters of our greats and put up the posters of USC greats. Dooley knows more about SEC/UT history and lure than the majority of people on here. Im sure UT has been a dream job for him ever since he got into coaching or has dreamt about it. Not last yr when he came in for the first time and got beat like the BS CBJ is feeding y'all.

Seriously...some of y'all just baffle me. Not really because I've been on here long enough but just ridic.

A competitive team that doesn't quit. A win over Oregon, Florida or Alabama would be even better but considering those are all road games next year may be asking too much.

Im guessing he gets one of those 3. I would hope for 2 of the three, as long as it is not the SECOND one.

national title

And you know what, CBJ doesn't shy away from that. He has already stated that is the goal. Not getting "competitive," not "rebuilding," but to "be the best."

His assistant Elder alreadty echoed that with a tweet.

The head guy sets the tone and CBJ has set the bar at the top of the college football mountain. I believe everything he does will be cetnered around accomplishing that one goal.

I would not bet against this man.
