Been looking at some news and stories about recruiting on Coach jones and staff. Some intereting stuff out so far but it's only been two days. Wonder how not just local recruits, then ones that committed under Dooley and the ones that were looking at Cinncy.

I can't wait to see what he can do. Big east dominance is not Sec, but its dominance none the less and on a smaller scale. Good things are in store.

He has been consistent at two programs. History suggests he will be successful here. CBJ will inject some life back into this program and get us competing again. Hopefully he takes it a step further and wins some championships.

He's got to up his game even more now.

I think he has to deliver some magic this recruiting class. Otherwise, it will hamstring his whole tenure, I fear.

As long as he gets us in the hunt for the SEC then I'll be happy. It would be better if he put us in the trace for a National Championship. but SEC first imo.

I hope he finally breaks through and beats Florida. Hard living in Gator country.

I guess we will see in a couple months.

Dooley recruited well his first class. Ill probably compare jones' first class to dooley's first one.

UT has a lot to offer and maybe a new staff with a history of winning can help out.

I'm not sold on this hire yet. But after getting all worked up over the initial shock I'm on board to support them until they give me reason not too.

I fear with several leaving early and already lacking quality depth we may fall further behind fast without a top 5 class.

I'm not so sure we get a top 5 class though. Or a top 10 for that matter.

Are you considering 2010 Dooley's first recruiting class? If yes it's not a fair comparison to CBJ imo. Dooley was hired so late most of his players had no choice but to stick with the Vols. In fact 8-10 of them were already enrolled in school. All Dooley had to do was hold on for a couple of weeks. That class was a top 10 when Dooley was hired. CBJ inherits a 24 ranked class with little momentum due to 3 straight losing seasons. Kiffin's staff recruited right up until the day he left while Dooley gave up recruiting at least 6 weeks ago because he knew he was gone.
