Coach Martin employed numerous tactics with the same goal in mind, make Florida use their interior players to beat us. They Couldn't

Patrick Young has the body of a greek god and SHOULD be able to take over a game in the post or at least force you to double team him and stretch a defense, but Martin refused and instead gave Young that opportunity and he folded

Murphy is a chump down low and with florida having injury problems they were forced to over use him an we attacked him

Martin refused to rotate our forwards on the block and emphasized the perimeter instead forcing Beal, Walker and Boynton to shoot the three contested. We have a harrasing and hard working group of players that stayed in their faces and prevented them from using their greatest strength

Maymon was jabbing at Young...getting into his head just like my boy Wayne Chism used to do. It was effective

there is no reason that young shouldnt be one of the best players, you see him out and you'd sheat yourself, once you see him play you laugh. biggest vag i have ever seen in all honesty for someone his size, to let kenny push you around is all i need to say.

the best part is ccm even said prior to the game, we wont double young we'll make their post beat us, yet they still couldnt. ccm employed a great strategy, one that only works though with guys who buy in like maymon, hall and stokes have.

kudos to staff for writing up the plan and to the players for executing it.

Off topic a bit but I listened to the end of the game on Sirius via the UF broadcast. Their announcers were so homerish and blamed a big part of it on injuries and they rattled off 3 or 4 guys who weren't playing. Thought it was pretty funny

it was 2 rosario wasnt playing, which he has missed much of the seaon, and yeguette played about the first 10 then had to get stitches.

i really dont think itd have made a difference, we were stomping them with yeguette out there, he would have added some depth but i dont think that was the isssue.

Rosario was out with a hip pointer, Yeguete sustained a concussion during the game and Larson was out with an illness. They missed those guys, but it's not like Young, Beal, Boynton or Walker missed the game. They would've helped them, but their starters had no answer for what we were doing. I doubt their reserves would've too.
